A direct descendant of the legendary Portuguese Navigator
whose name he shares, Vasco was born to a family of artists
and sportsmen in Cascais and, like his ancestor, ventured
abroad in search of new horizons. He lived in England, Spain,
China and Brazil for a small but significant part of his life, and
as a lover of arts and sports, he always tried to keep himself
surrounded by both throughout his professional and personal
journey.
Practicing many different sports, but with a special love for
surfing lasting more than 20 years, this particular sport is part
of who he is and a source of daily inspiration.

He sees in surfing not only a lifestyle, but also his path to tranquility and  peace.
At a professional level, it all started when he was quite young.
Inside him was a growing desire to enter the professional
market in the areas he dominated, which drove him to work
first as a tennis coach, and now as a surf coach. He majored in
Surf Coaching at the Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa and
also completed a separate Surf Judge course in the FPS, having performed such duties for more than 10 years.
